4 Tips to Get Motivated and Moving

Struggling to find the motivation to work out?

It’s all too common, but don’t worry – I’ve got your back with some awesome strategies to reignite that fitness flame and keep you on track. In this blog, we’re going to explore four key tips to help you stay motivated on your fitness journey.

🎯 Meaningful Goal Setting

Okay, let’s kick things off with goal setting. No, we’re not talking vague “I want to get fit” goals. We mean setting clear and achievable fitness goals. It could be anything – walking a certain distance, lifting specific weights, or boosting your endurance. You may want to get to into a certain dress size or fit into a pair or jeans or dress that you haven’t been able to wear in recent years. These well-defined targets give you a real sense of purpose. They give you something to aim for, and as you make progress, you’ll feel that sweet sense of accomplishment that keeps the motivation flowing.

🤸🏽‍♀️ Make it Fun, Really Fun

Exercise doesn’t have to be boring or feel like a chore. The trick is to find an exercise routine you genuinely enjoy. It could be dancing, swimming, hiking, or even playing a sport. When you’re doing something you love, working out doesn’t seem like work at all. So, go ahead, explore different activities, and find what truly excites you.

🗓️ Time to Get Scheduled

We all know that consistency is the name of the game when it comes to maintaining a fitness routine. Treat your exercise sessions like they’re crucial appointments by creating a regular workout schedule. When you’ve got specific times blocked out for exercise, it becomes a non-negotiable part of your daily routine. It also helps you plan your day around your fitness commitments.

📈 Progress = Motivation

Now, here’s a biggie – tracking your progress. Whether you’re old-school with a workout journal or tech-savvy with fitness apps, noting your achievements, no matter how small, is incredibly motivating. It’s like having a visual record of your journey, a real-life highlight reel that shows how far you’ve come. And that, my friends, is a powerful motivator. Plus, it helps you identify areas where you can set new goals and keep pushing yourself.

Here’s the deal: motivation can be a fickle thing, influenced by various things. So, stay adaptable and find what works best for you. If you’re having trouble staying motivated flying solo, consider joining a group or club, that can add a that extra layer of motivation and keep you accountable.
