Let me tell you something I’ve learned the hard way—being strong, especially as a woman over 40 going through menopause, doesn’t just happen. It’s earned. It’s fought for. And it absolutely deserves to be celebrated.
Just like so many women in midlife, I found getting in shape in my 40s incredibly challenging. The weight gain crept in after having kids, but things got even harder as I entered perimenopause. My energy dipped. My body changed. And despite eating well and working out, the scale didn’t budge. My confidence took a hit. My body image plummeted. And I started to feel like I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
I tried the usual fixes—eating less, doing more cardio, following the latest trends—but nothing worked the way it used to.
Eventually, I turned to CrossFit to support my mental health, which had taken a nosedive. It helped me feel strong mentally, but physically, I still didn’t feel like myself. My body wasn’t leaning out or building muscle the way I wanted—and I couldn’t understand why.
That’s when I realized the truth: our bodies change after 40—and most fitness plans don’t take that into account.

After working with several personal trainers who didn’t understand what women in midlife truly need, I took matters into my own hands. I started lifting heavier. I learned how to properly fuel my body with the right balance of protein, carbs, and fats—not cut everything out. I stopped overtraining and began respecting my need for rest and recovery. And slowly, everything started to shift.
In 2019, I prepped for my first bikini competition—and it was life-changing. Not because I got super lean, but because I realized this process isn’t impossible. There’s a method that works, even during menopause. It just hasn’t been made accessible to women like us.
So I made it my mission to change that.
Later that year, I launched my YouTube channel to share the tools, education, and support I wish I had. Then, in 2020, I created my first online fitness and weight loss program tailored specifically for women over 40. Because we deserve better than cookie-cutter plans made for 20-somethings.
Since then, I’ve competed in five bodybuilding shows, brought home 12 trophies, earned 2 Pro Cards, and placed first three times in Fitness Model Masters. But more than that, I’ve built a movement—a community of women who are rewriting the rules on aging and strength.
This Isn’t Just About Fitness—It’s About Taking Our Power Back
That’s why I believe Strong Women—especially those navigating menopause—deserve to be celebrated. And yes, spoiled a little too.
Because we’ve spent decades pouring into others. Managing homes, raising kids, holding down careers—and now managing our hormones on top of it all. The brain fog, the hot flashes, the sleep struggles, the mood swings—it’s a lot.
And yet, here you are. Showing up. Trying again. Refusing to give up on yourself.
That’s not just strength. That’s power.
So wherever you are in your journey—know this: your effort matters. Your transformation is possible. And you are absolutely, unapologetically worth celebrating!
